Winter Solstice Gathering in Darkness There is Light

The Winter Solstice, or Yule, is the time of the year when the sun reaches the lowest point in the sky and marks the darkest night. "In Darkness there is Light" is a Winter Solstice celebration circle to honour this darkest night and the period of hope that it brings. As much as this darkness is honoured, it is the returning light that we celebrate here. We celebrate the longer days ahead. The speck of light at the end of the dark tunnel. The acknowledgement that no matter how dark things get, there can be light again.
